Creative Arts Salt dough gift tags What you will need salt (1/2 cup ) flour (1 cup ) water (1/2 cup) straw stamps ribbon First, we mixed flour, salt, and water in a large bowl. With our hands, we made a ball of dough and kneaded it until it was smooth and firm. Then we used cookie cutters to make shapes in the dough. Then used the straw to make a whole on the top. You can speed up the process by placing them in the oven. This can be done with many shapes. It will be a fun activity for the kids to do. Plus who wouldn't want to play with clay.

Self concept
Drawling self portraits Using a small mirror, students draw themselves. The picture does not have to be exact, but it should be representative of that student. These portraits also go into the journals. An optional variation is to divide the shape for the face down the center lengthwise. Half the face can be a depiction of how the student sees himself, and the other how he thinks others see him. This is accompanied by a journal entry that describes how the student sees himself versus how he thinks others see him.
